Husqvarna has unveiled its smallest street-bike, the Svartpilen 125, overseas. It shares its underpinnings with the KTM 125 Duke, so it gets the same liquid-cooled single-cylinder 125cc engine producing 15.96PS. The chassis consists of a perimeter trellis frame suspended on an upside-down fork and preload-adjustable monoshock. Unlike the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 sold in India, the Svartpilen 125 rolls on wire-spoke wheels (measuring 17 inches at both ends), wrapped in on/off-road Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Features include fully-digital LCD instrumentation, LED lighting and ABS. Thanks to the beefy underpinnings, the little Svartpilen tips the scales at 146kg (dry), which is quite hefty for a 125cc motorcycle. While there has been no official announcement yet, we expect the Svartpilen 125 to eventually make its way over to the Indian market at a price tag of around Rs 1.35 lakh.
