Mahindra have unveiled the new Scorpio-N, an all new version 20 years after the first Scorpio saw the light of day. There’s plenty to be excited about too. Mahindra have stuck to their old school guns with the Scorpio-N keeping its traditional upright, tall SUV genes and body-on-frame layout. It’s powered by both petrol and diesel motors with 203PS and 175PS on tap and 380Nm and 400Nm of torque respectively. The diesel variants will also feature proper 4x4 go anywhere abilities. Helping it stay planted on the road is Frequency Dependent Damping suspension too.
It’s feature rich too with a sunroof, all LED lighting, 12-speaker Sony audio, Alexa powered voice assistant, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Wireless charging, dual zone climate control 7 or 6 seats to name a few.
Safety package includes, 6-airbags, ABS, ESC, ISOFIX seat mounts, disc brakes on all four wheels and driver distraction detection. It also features front and rear camera views,hHill hold, hill descent control and TPMS.
There are 5 variants Z2 Z4 Z6, Z8 & Z8L. Prices for the Petrol and Diesel MT variants range from 11.99 lakh to 19.49 lakh for the first 25k bookings.
Automatic variant prices will be revealed on the 21st of July. Test drives and add-to-cart online feature will kick off on 5th of July and bookings will open on 30th July with deliveries starting around festive season.
The old Scorpio will stay on sale as the Scorpio Classic
