This baby adventure bike from KTM is based on the much beloved 390 Duke, and features the same 373cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making 43.5PS of power and 37Nm of torque, as well as the same 6-speed gearbox. The 390 Adventure’s trellis frame has been borrowed from the Duke as well, but gets revised steering geometry and a new subframe. It gets long travel WP Apex suspension, which unfortunately in the Indian configuration doesn’t feature any adjustability apart from preload at the rear. Ground clearance is a solid 200mm. The 390 Adventure is running alloy wheels, 19 inch at the front and 17 at the rear, shod with Metzeler Tourance on/off-road tyres. Seat height is a massive 855mm. Many other components of the 390 Adventure, such as the brakes, are shared with the Duke. But the Adventure gets a whole new electronics package that features a 3-axis IMU. So it features cornering ABS with an off-road mode, lean-sensitive traction control and even an up-and-down quickshifter as standard. The KTM 390 Adventure goes up against the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan, the BMW G 310 GS, the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 and to a lesser degree, the Hero XPulse 200.
