The KTM 390 Adventure gave the ADV scene in India a double shot of power and thrill. Despite being an enjoyable and capable touring motorcycle, it had some limitations, especially when the going got rough. Addressing the need for more versatility, it has rolled out a top-spec variant which now gets spoke wheels and fully adjustable suspension. But the Austrains didn’t stop there. It rolled out the 390 Adventure-V a low seat height variant for zero premium over the standard bike and a third 390 Adventure-X, an affordable variant with minimal frills but all the thrills. In this first ride review we put KTM’s most affordable and most expensive 390 Adventures to the test.
