Q. What is the difference between turbo variants and non turbo variants?
- If you want more power then you may go for turbo engines, on the other hand, the naturally aspirated engines would be best suited for city commutes and good enough for calm driving. However, you may feel the power lag on highways and when sudden acceleration is required. The Duster Turbo is powered by a 1330cc four-cylinder turbocharged engine that makes a healthy 156PS of power and 254Nm of torque, a huge jump over the 1.5-litre motor (106PS/142Nm). The first thing that you notice as soon as you start driving the Duster Turbo is just how refined this motor is. You barely hear it at idle and save for some vibrations through the steering and pedals, it is a soothing place to be in. Being turbocharged you do get some throttle lag below 1600rpm but even here this engine doesn’t feel dead and has enough grunt to pull forward without much hesitation. However, this motor does tend to stall easily if you release the clutch a bit too quickly, something you have to keep in mind in stop-go traffic. Thankfully, because the Turbo version comes with a start-stop system this issue is somewhat negated. Q. Which is better diesel and patrol in Renault Duster?
- Manual diesel makes sense 120 and 85 bhp6 gears in 110 version .If you need a petrol go for CVT which makes sense . Also above all your purpose for the car matters most.Diesel can take 100 kms .mixed traffic. Dropping your spouse or child to school within 20 kms to and fro petrol CVT will be the sole choices. Regarding maintenance both carry their substantistive risks!!!
- The diesel engines of Duster were very reliable.But now they have stopped the production of Diesel versions.Only now available in petrol versions.But they are equally reliable.Hope this helps! Happy driving!
- Diesel 85bhp will give you more reliability. Mileage in highway will save you some money on fuel expenses. But if it’s daily use diesel is better else go for petrol.
Q. Which variant of Renault Duster is better 85 PS or 110 PS power wise?
- 110 ps taller 6 speed gearbox great on highways and in city too..85 ps is a good option with a less price.110 ps has turbo lag (mind that after second gear at low rpms)if there is no highway use prefer 85 ps
- As per my personal experience 85 PS is best for city and highway. No turbo log no frequent gear shifting. Further Clutch plate, diesel filter and some other parts of 85 PS is cheap compared to 110 PS.
- Definitely the 110PS variant is more powerful than the 85PS.Means it will have a better acceleration rate and a little more maximum speed.

I have owned mahindra bolero 2012 model.It's totally electronic display.A lot of sensor based four wheeler vehicle.It's air conditions is not satisfied😒 me.It's built quality, Paint quality, Suspension quality, Comfort is poor.It's give me only 12km/l average anytime.It's ground clearance is only 5-6inches.Somtime showing check engine sign on display cluster.It's irritated😡 me.Maintenance side is front suspension, Ball joint, And rear leaf springs.It's only family use based car, Not for beneficial in commercial uses.

Always dreamt of owning an SUV, and in November 2015, I got the Renault Duster Rxe dci. Driven it for 60,000 km. Happy for its road presence, ease of driving, good ground clearance, and fuel efficiency. But, somewhat high servicing costs and 2 instances of starting issues. Had smaller cars before. The Duster feels big compared to them and suits my simple driving style. Despite being withdrawn after BS6, it brought success to Renault. Hoping for its comeback and more good products. I've seen the Dacia Sandero and think Renault should bring it to India. Good luck to everyone on Zigwheels.
