Powered by a 1.2 liter petrol engine delivering a modest 83 PS power and 113.8 Nm torque, it is adequately powerful for urban rides and handles city traffic with ease. Features like the modern infotainment system and stylish interiors provide a comfortable and enjoyable drive.The space can feel a bit cramped, specially in the rear seats, makes long drives somewhat uncomfortable for taller passengers.

Since I bought the Volkswagen Taigun it has been an interesting mix of fun and practicality. The 1.0 liter TSI engine although smaller than some of its rivals does not disappoint offering enough thrust for daily commuting and quick enough for occasional spirited driving delivering performance with reasonable fuel efficiency of about 18 km/l. The interior space is surprisingly roomy which is a plus. However I find the infotainment system a tad basic compared to competitors. Despite these issues the Taigun stands as a strong contender in the compact SUV segment.
