Expert's Opinion on Apache RTR 310
Overview

A Proper Streetfighter
- The TVS Apache RTR 310 is the naked version of the fully faired Apache RR 310
- Comes with a streetfighter design
- It is available in 4 variants: Base, Top, BTO Kit 1 and BTO Kit 2
Design

Straight Out Of A Video Game
- The TVS Apache RTR 310 features a bold and aggressive streetfighter appearance
- It has a distinctive design with sharp edges and a muscular profile that gives it a strong road presence
- The new Sepang Blue colour scheme looks quite good especially with the striking tank decals
- Indicators and number plate are mounted on the tyre hugger, giving the rear end a neat and uncluttered look
- The large exhaust, borrowed from the RR 310, doesn’t quite match the bike’s edgy styling
- It now comes with knuckle guards, but they feel out of place on a bike with such a sporty character
Performance & Mileage

Vibey Yet Powerful
- The Apache RTR 310’s 310cc single-cylinder engine delivers quick acceleration and effortlessly reaches speeds of 90-100 kmph
- With a larger rear sprocket than the RR 310, it offers strong low-end torque, making city riding more enjoyable
- The engine is very flexible and can comfortably cruise at 40-50 kmph even in fourth or fifth gear
- It also has enough power at higher RPMs for confident overtaking on highways
- TVS claims a top speed of 150 kmph, but during testing, we managed a speedo-indicated 160 kmph
- The bi-directional quickshifter works exceptionally well—among the smoothest we’ve experienced on an Indian motorcycle
- Refinement has improved over the previous version, but vibrations still show up, especially while cruising at 100 kmph in sixth gear
- Similar to the RR 310, the throttle response might feel jerky for beginners, particularly in the Sport and Track riding modes
Handling

Sharp And On-point
- The Apache RTR 310 is an enjoyable bike to ride in the city due to its excellent handling, both in city traffic and around corners
- Its tall and wide handlebar gives the rider good control and makes steering more effortless
- In both dry and wet conditions, the factory-fitted Michelin Road 5 tyres offer solid grip
- The footpegs tend to scrape quite easily when leaning aggressively into turns
- The brakes have adequate stopping power, but the lever feels soft and doesn’t offer much feedback
Ride Quality

A Pleasant Surprise
- The inverted front fork and the preload-adjustable rear monoshock are set up on the softer side, offering a comfortable ride in urban conditions
- The bike tends to lift the front wheel easily in lower gears, but the wheelie control system helps keep its front wheel grounded
- The RTR 310 delivers strong braking performance
- The suspension feels too soft for track use, it can be adjusted to suit your preferences
Comfort & Storage

Sporty Yet Pleasant
- The split seats offer decent comfort and space, with sufficient padding for everyday use
- As a naked streetfighter, the TVS Apache RTR 310 gives the rider a relaxed, upright riding stance
- The tall, easy-to-reach handlebar and slightly rear-set footpegs contribute to a comfortable posture
- With a seat height of 800mm, 10mm lower than the RR 310, it’s more accessible for shorter riders
- Altogether, these features make the RTR 310 a comfortable, easy-to-handle, and enjoyable bike for city riding
- However, those looking for a more aggressive, track-ready riding posture might prefer the Apache RR 310
Features

A Tech Fest
- The bike features a 5-inch TFT display that is clear and easy to read
- It offers five riding modes: Rain, Urban, Sport, Race, and Supermoto
- The screen layout adapts depending on the selected ride mode
- It comes equipped with advanced features like cornering ABS, cornering traction control, engine drag torque control, wheelie control, stoppie control, and TVS’s cornering cruise control
- The cornering cruise control maintains a constant speed without throttle input but automatically reduces speed when the bike leans into a turn
Verdict

Should You Buy the TVS Apache RTR 310?
- The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 310 is quite a fun motorcycle to ride around whether it be in the city or on your local twisties
- Although, it might not be the best option if you wish to go tour with a motorcycle
- The bike comes with tons of features and is also a tad bit smoother in the 2025 iteration but due to the high price tag of the top-end variant, it costs almost the same as the KTM 390 Duke which not only offers a much more exciting riding experience but is also much more powerful
