Tata Motors recently updated the Tiago, alongside the Tiago EV and Tigor, with various features and fresh colour options. The prices of the 2025 Tiago range between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in five variants: XE, XM, XT, XZ, and XZ+. The hatchback, on the other hand, continues to offer the same petrol engine with an option of CNG version, which can also be coupled to manual and AMT transmissions. Powering the updated Tiago is a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that produces 86 PS and 113 Nm and 75.5 PS and 96.5 Nm in the CNG mode. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
The Tiago takes on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
With the recent update, the 2025 Tiago has become one of the competitive offerings in its segment, which is mostly dominated by India’s largest automaker Maruti Suzuki. While the fresh additions to its feature-list keep it fresh in the market, the key advantage of the Tiago is its CNG-powered version offers not only a manual gearbox but also an option of automatic transmission.
