Skoda India has shared a glimpse of its upcoming sub-4 metre SUV’s rear-end look via a design sketch ahead of its global debut in early-2025. The upcoming Tata Nexon rival from Skoda has already been spotted testing multiple times and looks like a mini Kushaq. Without wasting any time, let's decipher the design touches from these sketches.
From the sketch, we can decipher that the yet-to-be-named model will get sleek LED tail lamps with an inverted ‘L’ motif a la the Kushaq. It will also have bold ‘SKODA’ badging, once again, similar to its bigger sibling. From spy shots, we can also confirm that the silhouette seems to be inspired by the Kushaq and it could be possible that select parts such as the doors could be shared with the Kushaq to keep costs in check.
Up front, the Skoda sub-4 metre SUV will have the carmaker’s butterfly grille, flanked by a pair of split LED headlights. You can take a closer look at the sub-4 metre SUV’s fascia here.
To ensure the sub-4 metre SUV stands a chance against its rival, we expect Skoda’s sub-4 metre SUV to be feature loaded.

Expected kit includes a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, powered driver’s seat, a single-pane sunroof and cruise control.
Passenger safety should be taken care of by six airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, electronic stability control and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The upcoming Skoda sub-4 metre SUV is expected to get just the Kushaq’s 1-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 115 PS and 178 Nm. It should be offered with a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

This will be the sole engine option and the larger 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine won’t be on offer with this car.
The Skoda sub-4 metre SUV is expected to be priced from around Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom). This puts it in contention with other popular models from the same segment such as the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
