Here’s a quick summary of the top five two-wheeler news stories from the week just in case you missed them

There’s a lot going on in the two-wheeler industry, especially with EICMA right around the corner. For instance, Benelli finally entered the retro market in India and challenged Royal Enfield’s throne with the Imperiale 400. Kawasaki, on the other hand, showcased what it could do with four cylinders and limited displacement. But that’s just part of the action. There’s much more and here are our top five picks of the week.

Imperiale 400 launched:

Italian manufacturer Benelli finally launched the Imperiale 400 in India to take on the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Bookings for the bike have already commenced for a token amount of Rs 4,000 via the brand’s official website or the nearest Benelli India dealership. Click here for prices and other details.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R &  Kawasaki Z H2:

Ducati Streetfighter V4 and Panigale V2

Ducati took to the stage at its World Premiere to unveil two brand new bikes. The first comes in the form of the hotly-anticipated Streetfighter V4 while the second happens to be an entry-level Panigale - the V2. The Streetfighter boasts of some mind boggling performance figures, a pair of bi-plane like winglets on either side to keep the front wheel from taking off, a truckload of electronic rider aids and premium mechanicals.

The Panigale V2 is essentially a replacement for the Panigale 959 but looks like a sober version of the V4. It features a different fuel tank, fairing and a stubby exhaust end can compared to the V4 but carries over the aggressive split headlight and LED tail light. More information available here.

Yamaha BS6 bikes and scooters:

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha is expected to unveil its BS6-compliant lineup in the coming months in Chennai. The unveil is expected to have a mix of both bikes and scooters. Click here for more details.

Husqvarna launch delayed:

There’s some bad news at the end of it all. All of you who have been waiting for the Husqvarna twins to be launched in India will have to be a little more patient. The Swedish manufacturer has postponed the launch of the motorcycles to April 2020. It will commence production by the end of this year. However, there’s a silver lining.
