Most variants see an increase of Rs 14,000 to Rs 33,000.
The top-spec RXZ Turbo CVT dual-tone variant gets a hike of Rs 3,000.
The Kiger gets two 1.0-litre petrol powertrains: naturally aspirated and turbocharged.
It gets a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard with an AMT for the NA engine and a CVT for the turbo-petrol.
Renault forayed into the hotly contested sub-4m SUV segment with the Kiger in February 2021. The Kiger undercut the rest of the segment with its aggressive pricing of Rs 5.45 lakh to Rs 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom). Just three months after its launch, the Kiger’s introductory pricing has come to an end. While the base price remains unchanged, the rest of the variants get a significant hike of up to Rs 33,000. It is now priced from Rs 5.45 lakh to Rs 9.75 lakh.

The turbo-petrol variants have also been affected by the price hike. Only the automatic RXT and RXZ turbo-petrol monotone variants remain unaffected, whereas the dual-tone versions of these two see a small hike of Rs 3,000. The prices of the rest of the turbo variants have been increased by up to Rs 33,000. These variants are powered by a 100PS/160Nm 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which gets a CVT option in addition to the standard 5-speed manual transmission.

Despite the hike, the Kiger still undercuts the rest of the segment. This gives it a major advantage over its competitors, including the Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, and Tata Nexon.
