Lamborghini Urus India Launch Soon

If reports are to be believed, the Lamborghini Urus is on its way to our shores sooner than expected! According to various sources, some interested buyers in India have already booked the first allocation of units for 2018. The Lamborghini Urus will be launched in India on January 11, 2018, which is just 38 days after its global debut. The luxury SUV is expected to be priced above the Rs 3 crore mark.

In terms of design, the Urus is not radically different from the Urus Concept which was showcased back in 2012. However, the production model packs a larger air-dam and seems to be sitting lower than the original concept. Some of the styling cues have been directly picked from the manufacturer's other offerings. For instance, the cuts and creases on the SUV remind us of the Aventador. There is also a big lip-spoiler to keep the Urus planted to the ground at higher speeds. The bottom half of the rear features two twin-pipes which poke out of the bumper.

Under the bonnet, the Lamborghini Urus packs a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine which delivers 650PS of power and 850Nm of torque. This powertrain is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to all the four wheels via an AWD system with Torsen self-locking differential. Lamborghini says the surge of torque hits you at 2240rpm and goes all the way up to 4500rpm. It hits 0-100kmph in 3.6 seconds, and has a top speed of 305kmph! The Urus also features carbon ceramic brakes which measure 440mm at the front and a 370mm at the rear.
