Having recently updated the Hayabusa and GSX-S1000, Suzuki has now turned its attention over to its flagship adventure bike, the V-Strom 1050. This time around, though, the updates are far milder. For the 2021 model year, the V-Strom 1050 as well as its more hardcore variant, the V-Strom 1050XT, have received new colour options. And that's about it. That being said, the 1050 has been on the market for under two years so it's still quite early in its life cycle and isn't due a comprehensive update just yet.

The first new option for the 1050XT is this steely grey and blue scheme, complete with neat touches like blue rims and blue seats. Funky, but not in your face. If you want 'in your face’, the yellow option is the shoutiest of the lot and has received mild updates for 2021. It pairs nicely with the gold rims and blue seats.

The most innocuous of the lot is the black scheme, which has also received mild decal updates for the new year. The combo with gold is quite tasteful and gives the bike an understated, dignified look. Carried over unchanged for 2021 is the polarising orange and white colour option. It's inspired by the DR 750, Suzuki's revered adventure bike from the late '80s.

Coming to the standard V-Strom 1050, it has also received a new shade for 2021, called Candy Daring Red/Glass Sparkle Black. The red and black combo almost universally looks good, and the big 'Strom is no exception. The 2021 V-Strom has been launched in the UK, priced at £9,999 (Rs 10.25 lakh) for the 1050 and £11,599 (Rs 11.88 lakh) for the 1050XT. Since it is a Euro 5-compliant motorcycle, there is a possibility of it launching in India in the future, but if the smaller V-Strom 650XT (Rs 8.85 lakh) is anything to go by, expect pricing to be pretty astronomical.
