2021 Lamborghini Urus Debuts With Exclusive Pearl Capsule Customisation

It gets three dual-tone colour options paired with a gloss black roof

Lamborghini has begun deliveries of the 2021 Urus SUV in India which costs Rs 3.15 crore (ex-showroom). Along with updates to the model, the Italian carmaker has also added an extra bit of exclusivity. The first model to be delivered was the Pearl Capsule edition, an exclusive exterior customisation option, created by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile department in Italy. 

The Pearl Capsule edition has been introduced to add exclusivity to the Urus in terms of appearance. It offers three dual-tone colour options: Giallo Inti (Yellow), Arancio Borealis (Orange), and Verde Mantis (Green), paired with gloss black on the spoiler, roof, ORVMs, and rear diffuser. With this edition, customers will also get matte grey tailpipes and 23-inch gloss-black rims with body colour accents.

Exclusive to this edition, the powered seats come with Alcantara upholstery. While the Pearl Capsule bit mostly handles the exterior, customers can customise the interiors as well through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam option to ensure their Urus stands out from the crowd. It gets dual-tone interiors, hexagonal-shaped upholstery on the seats, and carbon-fibre and anodised aluminium elements.

Aside from the Pearl Capsule customisation option, the 2021 Urus comes with a bunch of new features that one can opt for additionally. These include a Parking Assistance Package comprising parallel park assist and a Sensonum 730W 17-speaker sound system. The Urus also gets a new exclusive Grigio Keres (metallic grey) colour option, besides the matte black, white, grey, blue options already on offer under Ad Personam.

No mechanical changes have been made to the Urus. It continues to be powered by a 650PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. It is now on sale in India for Rs 3.15 crore (ex-showroom). The Pearl Capsule Edition carries a premium of Rs 28 lakh over the standard version, priced at Rs 3.43 crore (ex-showroom). The SUV will continue its rivalry with the Audi RS Q8, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and BMW X5M
