  • Prices for the Jeep Compass BS6 have been increased by Rs 25,000 to Rs 1.23 lakh depending on the variant. 
  • The BS6-compliant Jeep Compass petrol is priced from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 21.92 lakh
  • The updated Jeep Compass diesel is priced from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 27.60 lakh.
  • The Compass BS6 utilises the same 1.4-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engines as before.

Jeep India has launched the BS6-compliant Compass in the country with prices starting from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 27.60 lakh (ex-showroom). It’ll be offered with the existing 1.4-litre petrol and 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine options, which are now BS6 compliant. Apart from the mechanical upgrades, the manufacturer has discontinued the Sport, Limited and Limited Option variants of the Compass. Prices for the base-spec Compass petrol are up by Rs 89,000 while you need to shelll out Rs 1 lakh more for the base-spec diesel.

As seen in the table above, the base-spec Compass petrol is Rs 89,000 more expensive as Jeep has axed the base-spec Sport variant. The Sport Plus and Longitude Option variants have received a price hike of Rs 50,000 while prices for the top-spec Limited Plus DCT variant have been increased by Rs 25,000.

Due to the discontinuation of the Sport variant, you need to shell out Rs 1.38 lakh more if you want a base-spec Compass diesel. Prices for the BS6-compliant Compass diesel have been hiked by Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.23 lakh depending on the variant. The diesel automatic variants haven’t received a price hike as they were BS6-compliant right from the day of launch.

The Jeep Compass comes with two engine options: a 1.4-litre petrol unit and 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine. Both motors have been upgraded to meet BS6 emission norms.
