Without making much noise about it, Hyundai has given the Alcazar’s top-spec Signature (O) a 7-seater option. For reference, the top trim was until now only available as a 6-seater with captain seats.
The 7-seater variant gets petrol and diesel engines, and it is Rs 15,000 more affordable than the 6-seater.
Take a look at the prices:
|
Alcazar Signature (O) AT |
6-seater |
7-seater |
|
Petrol |
Rs 19.85 lakh |
Rs 19.70 lakh (-Rs 15,000) |
|
Diesel |
Rs 20 lakh |
Rs 19.85 lakh (-Rs 15,000) |
The introduction of the 7-seater variant in the Signature (O) is a welcome update, but sadly, you can’t have it with the optional dual-tone colours.

Another difference between the 7- and 6-seater variant is that the former doesn’t get a central armrest with a wireless phone charger for middle-row occupants. This is exclusive to the Alcazar 6-seater.

The Alcazar gets an option of a 159PS 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 115PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both mills can be teamed with a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The three-row SUV locks horns with the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and the upcoming Kia KY (Carens).
