BREAKING: The Ola Scooter Has A Launch Date

Tweets are the new press releases, at least that seems to be the case with Ola Electric. Its CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has tweeted the Ola Scooter will be launched on August 15, the same day that Bengaluru startup Simple Energy launches its first scooter: the Simple One.

Independence Day has just become all the more action-packed.

Ola has been regularly sharing small teasers and news items regarding the Ola Scooter. Over the past couple of weeks, we learnt it will be available in ten colours, reservations commenced for a mere Rs 500 and as a result, it already crossed a lakh bookings.

We’ve even stumbled upon some trademarks that suggest the scooter will arrive in certain trims. Lastly, Ola’s ambitious plans to electrify India started with the opening of a grand manufacturing facility which, at full operating capacity, will outproduce any two-wheeler maker of the country, electric or ICE.
