Had your eyes on the updated 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta with diesel power? There is some good news. We have got the pricing of the MPV from our sources and they start from Rs 19.13 lakh (ex-showroom). For 2023, the MPV returns with a revised fascia and the updated 2.4-litre diesel engine, which now meets RDE standards.
The MPV will be offered in four manual-only trims: G, GX, VX and ZX. And for now, we have learned the prices of the first two trims, which have been detailed in this table:
Equivalent Innova Hycross Prices |
2023 Innova Crysta Prices |
Difference |
|
G-SLF 7-seater |
Rs 18.55 lakh |
Rs 19.13 lakh |
Rs 58,000 |
G-SLF 8-seater |
Rs 18.6 lakh |
Rs 19.18 lakh |
Rs 58,000 |
GX 7-seater |
Rs 19.4 lakh |
Rs 19.99 lakh |
Rs 59,000 |
GX 8-seater |
Rs 19.45 lakh |
Rs 19.99 lakh |
Rs 54,000 |
Comparing it with the equivalent Innova Hycross’s naturally aspirated petrol variants, the lower-end trims of the Crysta are up to Rs 59,000 more expensive. Also, the Hycross is petrol-automatic only as compared to the Crysta’s diesel-manual powertrain.
The Innova Crysta’s only design change comes in the form of a squarer front grille and a mildly revised front bumper to keep things fresh. The rest of the MPV’s design, both on the inside and out, is largely similar to what we got on the table before. Even the features list is largely the same, and you can read about in this detailed report.
Powering the Innova Crysta is the 150PS 2.4-litre diesel engine, driving the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. This powertrain now meets RDE norms and can run E20 fuel (with 20 percent ethanol blend). If you want an automatic Innova, your choice is now limited to the Hycross, which gets 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains.
We expect prices of the higher-end variants of the Innova Crysta to be announced shortly. It continues to be a more premium alternative to models such as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Mahindra Marazzo and Kia Carens.
