The Toyota Rumion has reached dealerships, giving us a first look at the India-spec production models. Dealerships have started taking bookings and deliveries of the car are set to start from September 8 onwards. The Toyota Rumion is available in three broad trims and can be had with petrol and CNG powertrains.

The Toyota Rumion is nothing but a rebadged Ertiga; and as with any shared Maruti-Toyota models, it gets minor differentiating design touches. These include an Innova Hycross-inspired grille, tweaked front bumper design and bespoke 15-inch dual-tone alloys. And obviously, the model also gets ‘Toyota’ and ‘Rumion’ badging.

The dashboard design and layout in the Rumion is similar to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The only difference is that the Rumion gets a slightly different upholstery and finish for the faux wood inserts.
Its features list is same as the Ertiga, which includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, cruise control, a coloured multi-info display, keyless entry with push button start and second row AC vents with adjustable fan speed.
Passenger safety is taken care of by four airbags, electronic stability control, a rear parking camera with sensors and ISOFIX child-seat mount (for second row).

The Toyota Rumion gets a 103PS 1.5-litre petrol engine, teamed with either a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The same can be specced with a CNG kit, available only with the manual, dropping the power down to 88PS.

The Toyota Rumion’s prices range from Rs 10.29 lakh to Rs 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom). It locks horns with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo.
