Two of the major highlights were the tribute bikes from two Japanese manufacturers

Apart from your launches and teases, two Japanese manufacturers took us on a nostalgia trip through the 90s this week. In case you missed out on all the two-wheeler action this week, here’s a lowdown:

BMW M 1000 XR 

BMW Motorrad revealed the all-new M 1000 XR this week. The hyper tourer is the only third motorcycle to get the madcap treatment from the M division and is the direct rival to the Ducati Multistrada V4 RS unveiled last week

Retro Nostalgia

It seems two of the major Japanese manufacturers were reminiscing about their past glory as Yamaha unveiled the beautiful XSR900 GP, which is a tribute to Team Blue’s iconic GP bikes from the 80s and 90s and the very next day, Kawasaki launched the 40th Anniversary Edition models of four of its Ninja models, adorned with the iconic livery of the Ninja ZX-7R from the 1990s.
