It is raining SUVs in India, and the latest player to join the bandwagon is the all-new Duster, from the house of Renault. Returning after almost 4 years, the model has always been what defined the brand in India. And now that it’s here, let’s take a look at its muscular and rugged exterior in 9 real-life images:
Starting off from the front-end styling of the Duster, we get to see a nose which means business with its butch profile and muscular elements. In the centre sits a large gloss-black grille with ‘DUSTER’ lettering. The bonnet has been given a sculpted look to embolden the tough theme.

You also get to see LED headlamps with a sleek DRL signature.

Lower down, there is a chunky skid plate, vertical cut outs on either edges and a massive lower air dam as well.

Move on to the side profile, and the new Duster looks almost identical to the global version.

It does, however, get a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels, along with a squared-off stance, tall roof rails, thick cladding and muscular haunches.

An interesting design touch here is that the rear door handle is placed behind the window for a cleaner look, mimicking a ‘two-door’ form.
The rear-end of the Duster adopts a minimalistic theme, with simple elements.

Unique to the India-spec Duster is this new connected LED lighting strip, which flows into the ‘C-shaped’ taillamps that also have a clear lens effect.

Below, you get to see a black applique and the Duster badging on the tailgate along with a thick silver skid plate and cladding on the bumper.

Rounding off the design is a sharply raked rear windshield and a large roof spoiler.
Besides the tough and rugged looks, Renault has equipped the new Duster with a ton of features, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with Google OS, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, wireless charger, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.
In terms of safety, it gets a Level 2 ADAS suite, 6 airbags, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, 360 degree camera, hill hold assist and front and rear parking sensors.
Under the hood, the new Duster gets an option of 1-litre and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engines, with the latter also getting mild-hybrid tech. Here are the detailed specifications of these powertrains:
