Quick News Highlights:
- A new KTM ADV has been spied on
- The bike gets a monochrome LCD console, non-adjustable suspension and MRF block-pattern tyres
- These details suggest that the bike could be the next-gen 250 Adventure or the more affordable variant of the upcoming 390 Adventure
A new KTM ADV has been spotted testing. The spy shots have revealed lots of information about what the bike gets but it is a bit confusing to come to a conclusion right now as to whether it is the next-gen KTM 250 Adventure or a more affordable X variant of the upcoming 390 Adventure.
The spotted bike gets a big beak-like fender, vertically stacked dual-LED projector headlight setup and a tall windscreen. The windscreen has a cutout on it, which will help with the airflow and keep the rider cool in hot weather conditions. The ADV gets an inverted fork and a monoshock (non-adjustable at both ends) and tubed tyres with spoke wheels. From the pictures, it seems like the bike gets a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup. The tyres spotted in the pictures are MRF Meteor block-pattern units. The bike also gets handguards and sleek turn indicators.

In terms of features, the upcoming spied bike gets the same monochrome LCD instrument console as the previous gen-KTM 250 Duke; the updated 250 Duke gets a full-colour TFT display. If the bike is indeed the upcoming 250 Adventure, powering the ADV will also be the same 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 31PS at 9,250rpm and 25Nm at 7,250rpm but could get a different sprocket setup to better suit the adventure bike’s off-road capabilities. The presence of the LCD console, non-adjustable suspension and the MRF Meteor tyres support the theory that the ADV spotted is the upcoming 250 Adventure.
On the other hand, since the current 390 Adventure has a more affordable X variant with an LCD instrument console, non-adjustable suspension and different tyres compared to the base variant, there is a possibility that the spotted bike could be the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure X. If that is the case, then the X variant will be made available alongside the base variant of the new-gen 390 Adventure and the 390 Enduro R.
