Kia Seltos Gets A New GTX Variant And A New Colour For The X Line Variant

Kia India has introduced a new mid-spec GTX variant for the Seltos that is priced at Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant is placed above the HTX+ variant and below the GTX+ (S) variant. Along with this new variant, Kia has also introduced the top-end X-Line variant with a new colour option.  

Seltos’ New GTX Variant 

The new GTX variant is available with both turbo-petrol and diesel engines, but only with the automatic transmission. Below mentioned is the price of the Kia Seltos GTX:

The petrol engine offered is the 160 PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine which is paired with a 7-speed DCT, while the diesel engine is a 115PS 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed AT. Just like the other GTX variants, it does not get a manual gearbox. 

Seltos GTX Variant Features 

The GTX variant gets level-2 ADAS features, making it more accessible than before. The key features available on the GTX variant include, dual 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and the digital display, a panoramic sunroof, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, cruise control, ventilated front seats, and ambient lighting. It misses out on features like the 8-speaker Bose sound system, and 8-way powered driver seats. 

Safety is taken care of by 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a rear parking camera, electronic stability control and as mentioned above, it gets level-2 ADAS features. 

New Colour For the X Line Variant 

The Seltos X Line was earlier available in an Xclusive Matte Graphite shade only, but now it can be had in an Aurora Black colour. There is no change for the interior theme, as it continues to get the same Xclusive Sage Green colour. 

Kia Seltos Price And Rivals 

The Seltos is priced from Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 20.34 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Volkswagen Taigun.
