Gets redesigned front with minor changes all across.
To get a larger infotainment screen and updated cabin theme.
Likely to retain its 2-litre turbo-petrol powertrain from the outgoing model.
Expected to be priced above Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom).
The mid-life update for the Jeep Wrangler made its global debut in 2023, and a year later it is arriving on our shores as well, with prices to be announced on April 22, 2024. This facelifted version of the iconic 4x4 SUV will feature a redesigned front and additional features, but without any changes to the powertrains offered in India.
Exterior

The updated Wrangler features a restyled all-black grille, still with the signature seven-slat design, now sleeker compared to the outgoing model. Internationally, the Wrangler offers a choice of multiple alloy wheel designs ranging from 17 to 20 inches, with tyre sizes reaching up to 35 inches.

It also provides various roof options, including the standard soft top, a body-coloured hardtop, a black hard top, and a combination of hard and soft tops. But for the Indian market, expect it to be offered in just two options: hardtop and softtop.
Interior

The cabin of the updated Wrangler SUV will showcase a slightly redesigned dashboard layout, now accommodating a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Notably, the placement of the AC vents have been moved down below the screen.

Additionally, this lifestyle off-roader will be equipped with features like wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, 12-way power adjustable front seats, and a digital driver’s instrument display. Additionally, the infotainment screen is powered by Jeep’s “U Connect 5” system, which offers a plethora of connected car features.
Powertrain

The Jeep Wrangler facelift for India is going to be equipped with the same 2-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 270 PS and 400 Nm, as on the outgoing model. It will be mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, and also features Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system as standard. Other global powertrain options, like the hybrid version, will not be coming to India.
Price and Rivals

The Jeep Wrangler currently comes in two variants –Unlimited and Rubicon – with prices starting at Rs 62.65 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. One can expect a marginal price increment considering all the changes. Upon the launch, it will continue to rival the Land Rover Defender.
