Jaipur-based EV startup BattRE Electric Mobility has launched the LOEV+, an urban high-speed electric scooter. Launched at a price of Rs 69,999 (ex-showroom Delhi), the LOEV+ plus offers a decent range along with a fair amount of features. It rivals the Okinawa Ridge Plus, and the Ola S1X.
In terms of the design the BattRE LOEV+ looks quite sporty with numerous cuts and creases. It gets a split LED headlight which has been mounted on the apron while the handlebar cowl gets a neatly integrated DRL. While it looks sporty, it doesn’t feel all that different from other Chinese electric scooters that are assembled in India. The LOEV+ is available in five colour options: Starlight Blue, Stormy Grey, Ice Blue, Midnight Black and Pearl White.
The BattRE LOEV+ gets a 2kWh battery pack from Amaron along with a 13-amp charger. Both the battery and the charger are IP-67 rated which makes them water and dirt resistant. BattRE also offers 3 years of warranty for the battery pack and the charger. The LOEV+ is capable of fast charging which takes 2 hours 50 minutes for a full charge. This electric scooter also gets 3 ride modes: Eco, Comfort and Sport. The LOEV+ offers a claimed range of 90km along with a top speed of 35kmph. In the Comfort mode it balances out performance and efficiency with a claimed range of 75km along with 45kmph top speed. The Sport mode offers the max performance on the expense of efficiency and gets a claimed range of 60km and a 60kmph top speed.
The BattRE LOEV+ gets a telescopic fork and a rear monoshock. For braking duties this electric scooter gets a front and rear disc brake setup along with combined braking system. The LOEV+ also gets a decently high 180mm ground clearance. It runs on 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends.
The BattRE LOEV+ gets cruise control, hill hold assist, distance-to-empty readout, charge level, all LED lights, and a parking switch to prevent accidental acceleration while parked.
BattRE claims to have a presence in 21 states with over 400 touchpoints. With the launch of the LOEV+ high-speed scooter, the brand should have a better fighting chance against its primary rivals, which are Ola Electric and Okinawa at the moment. Now that Hero Electric is no longer in the market, the recent launch should also give BattRE an added advantage.
