  • Q. Which one is better in terms of suspension and mileage between Royal Enfield Himalayan and Duke 250?
    Milw
    Milw | 4 months ago

In terms of suspension travel, Himalayan is better. However, that would help only if the roads are pretty bad OR when we ride through places where there is no paved road. For highspeed riding comfort, Duke 250 is better. Mileage is slightly better with Duke 250 on highways, while Himalayan will offer better mileage in city and hilly terrains

  • Q. While taking pickup my KTM duke 250 is lagging means feel like fuel is not reaching to engine and is about to stop(only in 1st 2nd gear). Service center people are saying that, this problem is with every duke 250. Also within 1 month the chain sprocket also got failed the chain is making annoying sound. What should i do?

My D250 does have a linear pull and I've never experienced this. Try modulating accelerator twists and be on the right gear to control any fueling issues. Else, it needs a detailed check at the service center.Chain - sprocket failure could either be a defective unit (get this replaced under warranty for free) OR could be because of someone attempting some stunts regularly on the new bike during run-in period (avoid changing hands for bike during the initial period). This could also lead to some engine rpm issues, leaving the rider experience faulty gear changes and engine-missing knocking etc.

In the front 250 Duke has a WP upside-down suspension and in the rear, it has a WP mono-shock suspension. The vehicle will have good control and ease while riding. As of now, no heating problem is encountered by us in the KTM 250 Duke. • Q. I'm planning to buy KTM Duke 250. My height is 5'3". Will it be comfortable for me to ride the bike? If not, adjusting the suspension will help me or not?
    Milw
    Milw | 5 months ago

There are no suspension adjustments available in D250 for seat heightground clearance. Also, 5' 3" will be a bit short for D250. However, if determined, you can still learn to master D250. It could be a bit tough at the beginning, but is not impossible. For reference, please look at most dual sportoffroad bikes sold by major motorcycle brands. Even for a 6 feet tall guy, having both the feet planted on ground is difficult. Does that stop from riding those bikes? NO! Go ahead and buy your bike of choice and master the machine! Do not worry about anything else. Have a Happy and Safe riding!

  • Q. Is Duke 250 ABS worth buying? I heard there were issue with air intake and pick up of the bike and there were other issues with engine sound too. Many suggest to go for a Duke 200 or 390 than 250. I am confused. I can't afford 390. My purpose is for daily commute.

As of now, we haven't faced any issues regarding the air intake, engine sound and pickup of the bike. Moreover, the bike issues generally occur due to the factors like improper maintenance of the bike, riding conditions, rough riding style and use of the unauthorised spare parts. If you are still unsure about the bike, we would suggest you to take a test ride of the Duke 250 as it would definitely clarify your doubts about the bike.Click here for the dealership: https://www.zigwheels.com/bikes/dealers/Ktm
