Q. I like Thunderbird 350 and have also taken a test of Jawa 42. A bit confused after taking the test drive of Jawa42. It is also a smooth and powerful bike. Technically advanced also. which one to buy considering technical features, durability, mileage and maintenance? Please advise. Jawa's handling is also great. Runs smooth and looks better. But please give an expert opinion on what to buy.

I've got a TBTS350 and have taken rides of Jawa 42 as well. performance wise, both are almost same just Jawa is a bit more refined and smoother. suspensions are great on Jawa. when you buy such bikes, most important part is the Maintainance, with Thunderbird an experience of 7+ years after 5 years it started giving me pain in Ass as had to spend a lot every time it goes for service. but that's due to my handling as well, I hardly use it. so whenever I plan to use it it give me a big hole in my pocket. On the other hand I am not sure about Jawa. and to be honest being 5'10" TB is more comfortable specially for long rides. it's a complex comparison to do, both engines are powerful unless you are very critical about every nm it generates. Both are of different segments one is kind of a touring bike and the other one is styling. If you want me to select one, I would select TB due to its very comfortable ride position. The new models xtreme are very juicy as well.
