I am planning to add a main/centre stand on my GT 650, will it decrease the ground clearance and will it cause any issues while cornering, need your advice please and the cost , Thank you in advance.

This is really a vague ans, must be this Q&A is being managed by someone who has no knowldge about bikes. 1st thing- Do you know even Interceptor comes with Double Exhaust and that comes with main stand. 2nd-I too have GT 650 chrome and i fitted main stand which is perfectly fine.3rd- I mean seriously??? Main stand hardly weighs 4-5 kilos will damage the chassis? This is the most funniest thing I have ever heard.

Its useless tO have centerstand of gt coz u need it only if u have punture but most of roadside puncture repairs guy dont even touch bike with disk bracks on them coz it take so much time. Otherwise you dont really need to park it on center stand anyway. Plus bike is already so heavy why make it heavier

As per manual for GT650, the provision of central stand is always there with extra payment. It will be helpful and judicious to install stand on GT. Not only the oil changing work is eased out but also the general chain cleaning and lubrication can be done effectively. Do install it. Good luck.

I have a centre stand on my Continental GT and it tucks up very neat, if you lean the bike around a corner and it scraps, your in the wrong profession, you need to be a GP racer. So no it wont come close to scrapping. The centre stand is very useful it stands more stable than on side stand, so harder to knock over on centre stand. Helps you change oil, lubricate the chain easily etc.....

Yes you can add the centerstand because interceptor already have it both have similar frames only performance would be reduce little according to the weight of stand which in real world is not measurable.
