Editor's View of Suzuki Gixxer SF 250

  • Upside

Free revving and torquey motor,Riding posture is sporty but not aggressive,Competent riding setup

  • Downside

ABS calibration could have been better,Windshield seems inadequate for wind deflection,Touring capabilities could be restricted due to small tank

  • Our Verdict

While the Gixxer SF 250 offers a sporty riding experience, it isn’t an out-and-out sportbike. It does offer an affordable, and potentially more fun, alternative to the Honda CBR250R, making it a great option for more mature riders.

  • You can get around 32 to 35 kms in city condition
Q. Is Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 bike BS6 compliant?
  • Yes, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is available with a 249cc single-cylinder BS6 engine.
  • No. BS4
Q. Which bike is better for city rides Gixxer SF 250 or Thunderbird 350X - Duke 250?
  • Royal Enfield Thunderbird has been discontinued and no longer available in new bike market in India. If we talk about Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, despite the sporty design, the Gixxer has fairly upright ergonomics. Its clip-on handlebars are set low, but because they’re positioned closer to the rider, you do not have to lean much to reach them. The footpegs are positioned higher and given the deep knee recesses is a snug fit for average-sized riders. They can be a problem if you are taller or wider though. Also, the high-placed footpegs, combined with the overall compact riding position, can make your knees feel uncomfortable on longer rides. Thankfully though, the seat is extremely comfortable even on longer rides thanks to its shape, width and the right amount of firmness. Its low height allows even shorter riders to comfortably place both feet on the ground. The fairing-mounted mirrors offer good rear visibility. Overall, the Gixxer 250’s riding position is suited both for city use and touring. Also, it has short gears that help you to ride it in 6th gear even at 40kmph easily, which results in better fuel efficiency. Do take a test ride in order to clear your all doubts. Q. Which one is best r15 v3 r Gixxer 250 ???
  • R1i5 v3 bs6 150cc for its sports gene from Yamaha this time didnt compromise quality over looks.Aggressive seating position and cornering ability eith dual channel abs is a joy to see and ride. Gixer 250 is not that bad with 250 cc engine with fully faired sf and a naked one.Naked Is better than sf it can be compared to Duke 200 with v4s price tag light weight street king. But v3 can do all in style done by gixer. but both have almost similar fuel efficiency( 35 to 40 kms per litre z)Thanks.
  • R15 always because performance and mileage and is very reliable .Yamaha offers good service and the service cost is average..
  • Bro go for r15v3 Or if you have budget you can go for gixxer 250 It's your choice first take test ride before buying

Q. Should I go with Dominor 400 or Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. If i am considering the build quality, Engine quality and a bit of touring but not more than 250km a day.
  • Japanese bikes are revolutionary machines. Their any product particularly. The built, ergonomics (very imp), the mechanicals - the most important for better performance are umatchable. Gxr250 is an amazing machine. Within the city 5 gears are fantastic, once higjway comes the 6th gear shows the potential of the engine. Easily cruising at 120 kmps with pillion. And the engine is patented. When you think of rx100, RD 350 you understand what amount of RnD they do to make superb products that last a lifetime. Think and decide
  • Dominor is the best. . Refined engine... And the service netowork is great..so if your on your trip.. and something goes wrong ( which would never happen) you can get it done irrespective of you being in any corner of India... And they do prioritize dominors over the other bajaj bikes so you would get your ride the same day.. and bajaj service stations are open all Sunday's too 😉
  • You can Blindly Go for Dominor 400 , Whenever You Wants You Can do Hyper Riding and You Can Cruise in 60 - 70 in 6Th Gear

Good sporty looking but instrument cluster very poor low quality in same as on below 150cc bikes regular vehicles compare to yamaha v3 is good. and rear abs braking some times not workingwell

  • 4.6

Overall, a great package. The refinement of the ride quality, looks, sound, rider involvement and especially the comfort makes this bike the best in its class. People may argue about the CBR being a tad bit faster but we choose practicality in the end.

its a wonderful bike , but for the price , features like slipper clutch or usd suspension would've been a superb add on , also the instrument cluster is a bit too basic for the competition.

I have recently brought this bike performance wise its wonderful the engine is unique in the way it performs in mid range tractibility is amazing and then the pull to the top end. I usually drive not more than 70 to 80 kmpl it stays between 35 to 50 maximum time and the mileage i am getting is 25 to 30 kmpl.Seating comfort is nice too no pain whatsoever loved it the led front ones are very bright 👍 styling is good but could have been more fantastic overall it's been a great bike for me.

I had test ride. Weight is bit on higher side for flicking but this is good quality bike comparison with duke 250. Though i am not sure that duke will last not so long as compared to suzuki bikes.
