We have ridden the Oben Rorr EV, and here's our first ride review of this electric bike.

Oben EV has launched its first electric motorcycle, the Rorr, at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom Maharashtra, including Fame II and state subsidies). Click here to read all its specifications and details in our launch story.


Oben Rorr Engine

The Oben Rorr is powered by a 10kW frame-mounted motor that produces continuous 4kW of power. The Oben Rorr is claimed to have a top speed of 100kmph, and accelerate from 0-40kmph in 3 seconds. The battery pack on the Oben Rorr is a 4.4kWh lithium-ion unit, offering a claimed IDC (Ideal Driving Conditions) range of 200km. It features three ride modes: Eco, City and Havoc. The claimed true range in Havoc is 100km, whereas the City and Eco mode offer 120km and 150km respectively. It takes 2 hours to completely juice up the battery pack using a 15A socket.

The Oben Rorr features an all-LED lighting system and adopts a minimalistic, neo-retro design.

Oben Rorr Features

The Oben Rorr features a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. Additionally, it comes with predictive maintenance, ride details, battery status, geo-fencing, geo-tagging, charging station locator, on-demand service, and roadside assistance. The electric motorcycle is suspended on a telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is done via disc at both ends with CBS as standard. The e-bike gets an impressive 230mm of water wading capability and a ground clearance of 200mm.
