The RX5 is likely to be MG Motor India's debut vehicle in early 2019. Prices for the SUV are expected to start around the Rs 14 lakh mark. With that kind of pricing, the RX5 will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, the Mahindra XUV500 and the Jeep Compass. Size-wise, it's a notch bigger than the Creta, and roughly the same size as the XUV. As far as engine options are concerned, MG Motor India is expected to equip the RX5 with the 2.0-litre diesel engine that's also found in the Jeep Compass. The engine makes 173PS of power and 350Nm of torque under the bonnet of the Jeep, and we're expecting similar numbers from the RX5 as well.
