Luxury for family

Big screen with smart features in this segment. 6-seater, the best car ever, but there is only one issue. Average is too low, 5-6 kmpl, but overall good.

Great experience with my mg hector plus very comfortable and fully loaded features and to luxurious interior and most enjoyable experience with 8 premium infinity speakers which gives more bass and clear sound.

Amazing Car

I recently got an MG Hector Plus Sharp Pro Diesel in Candy White. It was delivered on October 19th, and there was no waiting time. I chose the date, and the car arrived. It's been almost a month, and I've driven 3500 kms. The driving experience is amazing, and it's packed with premium features. The mileage with the 2.0 turbo diesel engine is great (18-20 kmpl under 2000 rpm). Customer satisfaction is high, with 24/7 availability. People always react positively, and the interior is amazing. In simple terms, the car is just WOW.

Q. Which is the best 7 seater car, XUV 700, Hector Plus, Innova Crysta or Kia Carens?
  • Choosing the right vehicle depends highly on one's preferences. All four cars are good in their own forte. If we talk about seating comfort, both middle row seats in Toyota Innova Crysta get the one-touch tumble forward function and leave a good amount of room to get in the back. Three adults can get into its last row here but the seating will be cramped. On the other hand, families will appreciate the second row in Mahindra XUV 700 as the wide cabin and flat floor make it welcoming for three. Getting to the third row is easy in XUV too, due to the one-touch tumble function, there is a generous amount of foot room under the second row. But the under-thigh support is lacking. Whereas the seat base in Kia Carens is angled to provide support and maximised knee room, the front seats are ventilated too. But the stitching for the seats and armrests on the captain’s seats isn't up to the usual Kia standard. In MG Hector Plus, Given the amount of width, knee room and headroom on offer, adults can be accommodated here easily, but like it's rival XUV 700, the lack of under-thigh support in Hector Plus would make longer journeys tiresome. Hector Plus 2020-2023 Key Highlights

Features: Notable equipment in the Hector Plus include a new swipe-to-open tailgate feature, a 10.4-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, cruise control, climate control, coloured multi-info display and ambient lighting. On the safety front, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and electronic stability control.

Engine: MG offers the Hector Plus with two engine options: a 143PS/250Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 170PS/350Nm 2.0-litre diesel. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual as standard for both engines and a dual-clutch automatic along with the new 8-speed CVT option for the turbo-petrol variants. The turbo-petrol manual powertrain can be also opted with a 48V mild-hybrid system. MG offers the DCT and CVT gearbox options only with the 6-seater variants of the Hector Plus.

Rivals: The MG Hector Plus locks horns with the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and the Toyota Innova Crysta.

Variants: The MG Hector Plus is available in five broad variants: Style, Super, Smart, Select, and Sharp. Although the new 7-seater Hector Plus is available in all five trims, the 6-seater Hector Plus is offered in Super, Smart, and Sharp variants only.
