The KTM 390 Adventure is powered by a 373 cc air-cooled engine which produces 43.5 PS @ 9000 rpm of power. It has a fuel tank of 14.5 L and a claimed mileage of 30 kmpl.
While the 390 Adventure is designed to handle rough terrain, it is powered by the same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, OBD-2 compliant motor that produces 43.5PS and 37Nm, the same as the 390 Duke. The engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch and a standard quick-shifter for the India-spec model. The 390 Adventure features WP suspension up front but with longer travel than the naked sibling. The rear mono-shock also gets longer travel and is pre-load and rebound adjustable. It rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloys and also comes with spoke wheels.
The 390 Adventure gets KTM's traditional split LED headlights, on top of which there is a small wind deflector. The instrument cluster is similar to the one on the 390 Duke. The bike gets a split seat setup. To tackle river crossings better, it also gets an upswept exhaust. KTM has equipped the ADV with Street and Off-Road traction control modes, and cornering ABS for extra safety as well. The 390 Adventure X comes equipped with a simple LCD cluster borrowed from its younger sibling, the KTM 250 Adventure, and also misses out on traction control and cornering ABS. Meanwhile, the low seat height variant gets revised suspension internals for a more approachable 830mm seat height.
