The 1 litre turbo engine is no doubt the best in segment. its powerful, frugal, smooth revving, has a wide torque band(172Nm) and also refined. the ivtec petrol engine on the other hand is a 1.5 litre naturally aspirates engine with just around 140 Nm of torque. Do note that insurance cost rises if a car has an engine capacity above 1000cc. I have read only positive comments so far and it seems pretty reliable. However ivtec has been on the market for a long time and is pretty reliable and also powerful. My pick would be the 1litre turbo as its more powerful thou.
