Kawasaki has launched the locally assembled version of the Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR. The switch from selling CBU units to locally assembling them allows Kawasaki to massively drop prices for both bikes. In the case of the Ninja ZX-10RR, it now costs Rs 16.1 lakh which is a Rs 5.8 lakh drop over the previous CBU version. These are however, introductory prices available for the first lot. This move make the Ninjas the most affordable litre class bikes in the country.

- We would kindly like to inform you that Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR has been discontinued and is not available for sale in the Indian market. On the other hand, BMW S 1000 RR is a great sports bike that offers a great look, It also gets a twin-LED headlamp setup while the tail lamp has been integrated into the rear turn indicators. Additionally, it features am 1000 RR-inspired winglets. Aside from this, the bike comes equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled 6.5-inch colour TFT instrument console, a new twin-spar aluminum frame, a subframe, and a WSBK-inspired swingarm. The new bike also gets a new Slide Control Function and Brake Slide Assist. The 999cc inline-four motor makes 209.3PS, which is 2.72PS more than the previous model. The peak torque of 113Nm remains the same.

- This is a wrong reply. The bike is fantastic is long road trips also. The loud noise is because many users modify and put a noisy silencer. The original makes a soft purring noise, and cannot be heard at all in traffic

Q. What is the difference between ZX-10R and ZX-10RR? Because I never found any differences other than the price.
- This is difference in the engine also, but the prominent differences are in the wheel rim and the disc brakes. The ZX 10RR brakes are fantastic
- The 10rr is more advanced in a technological standpoint and thus a more racetrack worthy bike optimised for peak performance thus costing more
- Yeah that the price is different even I couldn't find any different between them

Amazing power and pickup. Absolutely smooth on the highways, can coast at 150 + kmph for hours. Only problem is the small tank - 17 liters due to which we need to stop for fuel after 250 kms, which is too soon - around 2 to 3 hours
