Honda Cliq

Honda’s rugged scooter, the Cliq, is now available in Maharashtra and has been priced at Rs 43,076 (ex-showroom, Pune). Honda surprised everyone when it launched the Navi in India at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Japanese two-wheeler giant has surprised Indian buyers again by launching the new Cliq scooter. The new Honda Cliq has been priced at Rs 42,499 which makes it among the cheapest scooters on sale in India. The Honda Cliq has been positioned as an utility scooter for load carrying and it also gets special rear carrier (optional) to carry load and has generous under seat storage along with space on the footboard. The Honda Cliq also features block pattern tyres (segment first) which according to the two-wheeler giant offer extra grip on patchy roads.

The new Cliq is based on the Honda Navi platform and also gets mobile charging socket under seat. The styling of the scooter is also sporty with a raked apron and according to Honda the design will appeal to both female and male riders. Also the scooter has low seat height and low weight (102kg) to make it easy to ride in city traffic and navigate it through narrow lanes.

Optional accessories for the Honda Cliq includes front screen, floor cover, box center, cap cover and rear grip. The underpinning like suspension, brakes and frame is similar to the Honda Navi. The Cliq is powered by the same BS-IV compliant, 109.19cc engine that powers the Honda Activa 4G and delivers 8.11PS of power at 7,000rpm, while 8.94Nm of peak torque is generated at 5,500rpm. Colour options for the Honda Cliq includes Patriotic Red with White, Black, Moroccan Blue with White, and Orcus Grey while graphics will be optional extra.
