- The Maestro Edge 125 isn’t meant to be a sporty scooter by any means. On our test ride, we were only able to get it up to a speedo-indicated 90kmph. Also, it’s not the smoothest scooter engine we’ve encountered. There are some slight vibes that can be felt in the floorboard at around 50kmph. Moreover, the overall riding position is straight from the Maestro Edge 110, but in this case, it’s definitely not a bad thing. The tall handlebars and low floorboard height mean that even taller riders won’t have the handlebars digging into their knees on sharp U-turns. The seat itself is decently comfortable too, not just for the rider but pillion as well. The 124.6cc single-cylinder engine puts out 8.83PS of power at 6750rpm and 10.2Nm of torque at 5000rpm in the carburetted variant, which are the same figures you get on the Destini. There is a slight bump in power for the fuel-injected variant, which puts out 9.24PS at 7000rpm. We would suggest you take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and riding comfort. - Every one of us knows that traffic is becoming an ever-increasing pain. It does not matter how quick your manual gearbox responds or how reliable it is when you get stuck in a huge traffic jam and suffer excruciating pain in your left leg constantly depressing the clutch.

Hero Maestro Edge 125 FAQs
Maestro Edge 125 Key Highlights
Price: The introduction of the 2021 Maestro Edge 125 means customers have a total of six variants to choose from. The standard models include a drum, disc, and Stealth edition priced at Rs 71,850, Rs 74,050, and Rs 75,350 respectively. The 2021 range includes the drum brake variant priced at Rs 72,250 and the disc variant priced at Rs 76,500. The top-spec Connected model is the most expensive of the lot at Rs 79,750 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
Design: The standard Maestro Edge’s design hasn’t changed as much since the inception of the scooter. It continues to look sharp and edgy with a chunky tail. Among the 125cc family scooters, the Maestro Edge 125 is one of the most stylish offerings, especially in the Panther Black and Stealth Black colours. Other colour options are Pearl Fadeless White, Matte Red, Matte Vernier Grey, Matte Techno Blue, Matte Brown, and Prismatic Purple. The 2021 variants feature a redesigned front apron with masked turn indicators and sporty graphics on the bodywork.
Features: The standard Maestro Edge 125 isn’t kitted with a whole lot of modern features. It gets the standard set of features, including an external fuel filler cap, underseat USB charging, and a semi-digital info cluster. No LEDs for the headlight or turn indicators. It does get Hero’s patented i3S engine stop/start system either. For a premium, Hero also offers its 2021 range with a sleek segment-first LED projector headlamp, which Hero says will improve night visibility substantially, and a full-digital instrument console. The top-spec connected variant benefits from Bluetooth connectivity which gives costumes access to a host of features such as turn-by-turn navigation, passkey, missed call and other call alerts, real-time fuel efficiency, an Eco and a low fuel indicator. Hero’s dedicated app, which comes standard with the Connect variant, adds eight features including topple alert, theft alert, find my parking, track my vehicle, and trip analysis. You also have new colours to choose from. The connected variant, for instance, comes in two new prismatic colours: yellow and purple. The disc variant is available in six: red, black, silver, matt blue, Prismatic Yellow, and Prismatic Purple. As for the drum variant, it's available in four shades: red, black, silver, and matte blue.
Engine: The 124.6cc air-cooled fuel-injected motor is the same as before. It’s tuned to make 9.12PS and 10.4Nm, 0.12PS less and 0.2Nm more than the BS4 Fi mill. The foundations are relatively simple -- a telescopic fork and a single hydraulic shock absorber suspended off an underbone frame. It runs on 12-/10-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres. One can either opt for a drum or a disc brake at the front but the rear drum brake remains standard on all trims.
Rivals: The 2021 Hero Maestro Edge 125 Connect competes against the Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid, TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Access 125 as well as the Honda Activa 125.
Variants: Hero offers the Maestro Edge 125 in six variants: standard, front disc, Stealth Black, and the new drum, disc and connected model.
