Harley-Davidson Sprint 440

The upcoming Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 is expected to be positioned as the brand’s new entry-level cruiser motorcycle. It is likely to be positioned above the existing Harley-Davidson X440 range, around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom), with the launch expected by the end of 2026.

In terms of design, the Sprint 440 should have a more traditional cruiser look. It could feature a long and low stance, a flowing teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a scooped rider seat, a slightly raised pillion section, a short rear fender, and a raked-out front fork. The motorcycle is also expected to feature a large front wheel and smaller rear wheel setup, likely 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels, along with a lower seat height.

The feature list of the Sprint 440 has not been revealed yet, but it is expected to borrow technology from the Harley-Davidson X440 T. The Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 is expected to use the same 440cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine as the X440 siblings. This engine produces 27PS and 38Nm, and comes paired to a six-speed gearbox.

The Sprint 440 is expected to use a similar main chassis to the current X440 range, although it will likely get a revised rear subframe and a more relaxed steering rake angle to suit its cruiser character. The bike will be manufactured in India by Hero MotoCorp.

Once launched, the Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 is expected to rival motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, the Honda H’ness CB350, the Yezdi Roadster and the Jawa 42 Bobber.
