  • A genuinely spacious 5-seat car, it offers lots of storage spaces - a 13-litre cooled glovebox and 251 litres of bootspace! Engine and transmission are tuned for city driving. It gets features like electrically adjustable ORVMs, powerful A/C and steering-mounted multimedia controls. Good all round visibility, comfortable ride and neutral handling are also areas where it scores more brownie points. While safety features include ABS+EBD, dual airbags, three-point seatbelts for all rear passengers offered as standard, the Etios Cross is backed up by a dependable Toyota quality, service network and affordable parts.

  • The design looks dated, now that the Liva has been given a facelift. No touchscreen infotainment system. Ground clearance and suspension setting remain the same as the hatchback, no additional capability off-road. Cost cutting prevents it from feeling premium. Front seatbelts are not height adjustable, can be difficult to use for shorter drivers. No dead pedal or space to place left foot on longer drives. Powerful engines not on offer, not as fun to drive as it looks.
