Citroen C3 X

Citroen has launched the C3 Sport Edition from Rs 6.44 lakh (ex-showroom). It is priced at a premium of Rs 21,000 over the regular variants and gets some cosmetic tweak over the standard variants. Additionally, you can also get a dashbcam and a wireless phone charger as optional extras.

Features: The Citroen C3 gets features such as a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, remote keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, automatic climate control, a rear wiper/washer and a rear defogger. Safety is ensured by six airbags, ABS with EBD, and reverse parking sensors with a camera. It also features an electronic stability programme (ESP), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and hill hold assist.

Engine: The Citroen C3 gets two petrol engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine which produces 82 PS and 115 Nm and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that delivers 110 PS and up to 205 Nm of peak torque. The base petrol engine gets a 5-speed manual only, while the turbo-petrol engine can be had with either a 6-speed manual or an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. You also get a CNG option, available with the NA petrol-manual combination. The C3 measures 3981 mm in length, 1733 mm in width, 1586 mm in height, and has a 2540 mm wheelbase.

Rivals: The Citroen C3 rivals cars such as Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Celerio, Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago. In terms of dimensions and engine specifications, it goes up against the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Tata Punch, as well as premium hatches like the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Tata Altroz.

Variants: The Citroen C3 is available in three variants: Live, Feel and Shine. You can choose from four monotone colour options: Polar White, Zesty Orange, Steel Grey and Platinum Grey. It gets 6 dual-tone colour options as well, where the white and grey shades can be had with the orange roof and the former three can be had with a Platinum Grey roof. A limited-run Dark Edition has been introduced, which gets the Perla Nera Black colour and is based on the top Shine variant.
