- It's all about mindset. My grandpa who's 79 years will take my Dominar. Our age is completely irrelevant here when it comes to riding. It's all about your passion and developing good riding skills and trying to be safe. About the Riding posture of this bike it's kinda upright so don't worry about backpain and shoulder pain. About the Seats, it is comfortable enough I 'm a solo adventurer and I use to travel from Kochi to Mysore which is like 400km now and then and the only place where I stop the bike is to fill petrol, so that says a lot about the seat comfort I believe. - It's a tough decision, Even I went through this situation at the time of purchasing my Dominar.. Both are well known for touring purposes so which one would be better? 1. RE's are well know for rusting issues, Bajaj is way better in that case. I 've seen platina and boxer without rust even to this date, which is like 10 years or more.2. In terms of performance Himalayan give 25HP whereasDominar was 35HP now it's 40HP. 3. In terms of maintenance and reliabilityBajaj is cheaper and they have a better know how about fuel injection systems since they 've got KTM and its proven, whereas RE came up with Fuel injection systems for the first time where they themselves don't know what to do, how to fix, so in terms of service RE is on the expensive as well as very disappointing as far as I know. 4. Biggest Con I spotted when it comes to touring perspective is lack of tubeless tyres on RE's. It's not practical to remove the entire tube out and fix it in the middle of nowhere.Whereas Dominar comes equipped with a Alloy wheel and Radial Tubeless tyres which is tension free, we can fix it ourself if you got a portable tyre inflator and puncher repair kit which you can literally store under your seat if required. 5. Dominar gives you a better experience and confidence while cornering and riding through high range whereas Himalayan's center stand scrapes the road at times which robs your balance and ends up injuring yourself. 6. Brakes are way better on Dominar 400 when compared to Himalayan's braking unit which lacks bite. 7. We might feel our vehicle is quite under powered when it comes to highway cruising at tripple digit speed, where as you can cruise at 100+ without reving the engine really hard which makes the ride more enjoyable with less vibration, Dominar can go upto 165 kmph easily and we got the right braking unit equiped with Bosch ABS so that gives us a extra confidence to have some fun. 8. Cold start missing and starting issues is something what I 've noticed with Himalayan. I 've seen people struggling to start where as it's easy peasy on Dominar, combination of fuel injection and tripple spark technology is proven. Considering these as a whole I strongly believe Dominar is the best touring bike under 2.5 lakhs price bracket. Which is value for money and easy to maintain with less gizmo and unwanted features to attract people which literally ends up with complaints over a period of time which comes equipped with sophisticated technology and sensors where we need to spend more to fix post warranty period.

- I have Himalayan BS6. In the span of Two years I had to change 1) speedometer 2) Chain 3) Front Shocker oilseal 4) Handle bar Cone set and Now my bike is Down With HEAD AND VALVE PROBLEM! Can you imagine two years old bike with not more than 15000km Run worth 2.5 lac developed serious engine problem! I'd recommend not to waste 2.5/7 lac on buying garbage. - Hell yeah.. like charm.. with the slipper clutch in play the clutch would feel damn soft so your wrist won't tire in city traffic... And you can move your dominor in the clutch without the accelerator till 3rd gear.. so it would be a problem in bumper to bumper traffic... Trying to get into gaps would be difficult as the turning radius is slightly on the higher side and the bike would be little bigger whne compared to the duke series .. but the weight wouldn't bother you though

- You can go forDuke 200 mileage is pretty good for hills 390 or 250 don't give better fuel efficiency if cornering is the factor they are really good at it.but cornering also depends on your skill .xpulse has some problem with its 2nd gear while riding up hill.tvs apache has good amount of torque to climb a descent uphill with descent speed in 4th gear the bs6 has modes.you can get fz 250 as it outperforms TV's.heating won't be an issue. But listen it depends what are you comfortable with.NIMBLE AND AGILE but aggressive seating etc OR heavy and comfortable but knows it's job.?

But i have seen people touring on sports bikes and their hands do not pain at all.So it all depends on your physique.(i say phydique because the more you weigh the more weight you have in your upper body and the more your hands have to suffer while leaning) Both bikes have similar accleration as dominar has more weight more power and rr310 has less weight less power so power to weight ratio is similar ! They also have similar top speed !
- In terms of practicality it's better to opt Dominar 400.. it's a no nonsense machine with basic functions and less gizmos.. and the upright position is the best for touring purposes whereas the clip ons on RR310 isn't that comfortable when it comes to touring as it's a bit on the aggressive side.. kind of track oriented position and not just that RR310 is quite expensive when it comes to periodic service and other maintenance costs.. so my personal opinion is if you are looking for a practical ride go for Dominar 400 or any other bikes with upright position.
- Dominar is not that much comfortable for long tours. I have 2018 model that was having very much vibrations issues and it's seat is also not that much comfortable. I didn't try RR310, so, can't say anything about that.
- Yes there will be heat because you would just move betwen 1st second and max 3rd gear. It heats but liquid cooling is good. Where the bikes lacks is rear breaking.. what I experienced in my 2017 is horrible rear breaks and good front. I din make videos on that but should have. I was one of the first to get hands on it and I could actually tell you best experience as I come from a place with heavy rains and at times I felt .. m gone as the bike wouldn't break well.
- I am having a 2017model, it's ran only 5200km, nowadays I feel heating issue, withing 4to 8km it's fan turns on and it's heat too high i can feel it by sitting, don't know why, another problem is that if I am running on top gear and speed nearly 60+ and if I want to increase the speed suddenly I feel the throttle is not responding after few second it getting pick up...

- Both are good bikes, and I own a Dominar.The new mojo is more refined and easy to maneuver in city, where as it has a lower torque compared to dominar, so if u like quick overtakes and sudden downshifts and u are an agressive rider you should definitely go for dominar.Dominar comes with slipper clutch, which lacks in mojo.Dominar has USD forks which makes it more stable at high speeds and in corners.Dominar has a better top speed and high speed cruising stability. Even in the 6th gear u ll have a plenty of toque if u wish to overtake without even downshifting.Pillion comfort is better in Mojo because of its seat and the position of rear foot rest.Dominar is just 3kg heavier than Mojo, So it won't make much difference according to what I have experienced.And as u said your height is 6'0, both the bikes will be apt for the you. (I'm 5'8 and I don't feel any trouble while riding my Dominar 2019)Dominars instrument console is way much better than Mojo with a lot of more informations.Mojo has a better ground clearance.But I have done a really ruff OFFROAD on my Dominar, but I never faced any issue in it. I felt the ground clearance was quite sufficient. only issue was with the stock tires as it dont do well in OFFROAD condition.You cannot compare these bikes in terms of power. Dominar is way ahead.In my Dom in getting an average milage of 30kmpl in mixed riding conditions.You can expect around 28 if u ride in city alone.

- Bajaj Dominar is definitely handsome in the specsheet but not in actual. Yes there is 39bhp of power and 30 Nm of torque but that not usable power alright, I mean how many of us would ride it at 150-160 all day. Next is weight imbalance in Dominar is actually an engineering default the bike when run on smooth highways at 90-100 often feels like leaning leftwards which could definitely not handled properly cause a big Accident. The rear brake is not at all worth of any use it's like its not at all given very poor feedback from rear brakes. Bike is definitely heavy for city commutes will hamper the confidence of the rider cause flickibility is too less, turning radius is very less you at least have to get a decent enough space to turn the bike. Moreover the the ride quality will decrease very fast in bajaj bikes when compared to other brands. The Fuel efficiency is too less it's like 25 on highways and 18-22 in city. Moreover the parts and the bike itself is of too poor quality and the engine ages too early. And moreover th price point at which Bajaj is offering it in 2021 it's not at all a value for money product.
- The seat is horrible. I have one in America and it becomes unbearable after 2 hours even with an air cushion. The seating position is too cramped. I travel long distance, I did 15,000 km in the first year and I'm ready to give up. Bajaj should put this engine in the Boxer X with the same abs and disc brakes as the Dominar. That would make a comfortable travel bike.

- I use to cruise at 70 to 80 kmph on 6th gear. Moreover I don't do sudden acceleration. I do clutch less gear shifting. Clutch-less gear shifting can be done after 2nd gear. In cities I try smooth riding. Do no race the bike engine unnecessarily. Stop engine in signals.

On highway cruising Dominar gives better performance because of it's weight while handling of RC is much more reliable and precise. It's always riders choice that which bike is comfortable to ride. - I liked KTM RC 390 but I didn't bought it for two reasons - 1. Pillion seat position2. I don't like the noise it makes
- Both are good bikes...one is a track focused and the other is touring ....choose as per your needs

Go with Micheline.. right now I'm experimenting with ceat zoom xl radial tyres... And change from bajaj engine oil to motul.. you would notice great decrease in the vibrations
- Brother, no bike is perfect. I had a series of issues in my 2021 Dominar. Bajaj quality is pathetic let me tell you that at least. They provide longer warranties for the same reason. And just an example, the chain costs 3850 to replace and that includes removing the whole rear end, suspension, swing arm, wheel etc just to install the chain. Do you want that kind of headache? I am a Dominar 400 BS6 owner and I am telling these from personal experiences. If you are worried about the hassles then walk away from Bajaj. Just a honest suggestion from a Rider to another.

- Dominar is the best, to keep it short. To explain it, I have rode KTM Duke 390 for quite a long rides and I own Dominar. The main difference is that Dominar during the long rides and tours, gives you immense confidence because of the stability even at 130+ kmph. Though Duke has a lot of power and acceleration because of the light weighted body and torque, it doesn't give you the same confidence of stability just like the Dominar. And I clocked a trip of 1343 km in 3 days during which, the bike (Dominar) cruised smoothly even on the worst roads, but never gave a trouble, not even for a second.
