Okinawa has unveiled its first maxi-styled scooter at Auto Expo 2020. The Okinawa 'Cruiser' looks proportionally bigger than conventional petrol-powered scooters and features a flashy paint scheme.
It's powered by a 3kW, brushless motor with a claimed top speed of 100kmp and a range of 75-80km per charge. It takes around 2 to 3 hours to fully charge via a conventional power socket.
The Okinawa Cruiser comes equipped with a full LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument console, front disc brake, and extra storage behind the front apron. Expect the maxi-scooter to pack features that are on par, if not better than the rest of Okinawa’s portfolio. This ideally includes central locking with an anti-theft alarm, keyless entry, and a USB charging port.
While Okinawa has kept the scooters pricing under wraps, we expect the Cruiser to be positioned above the i-Praise Pro, which costs Rs 108,728 (both prices ex-showroom). On a slightly different note, the company currently has 350 dealers pan India.
