Exterior enhancements include aggressive bumpers, new alloy wheels, and GR badging.
Cabin remains similar to the standard model aside from sportier seats, aluminium pedals, and GR badging.
Is powered by a 204PS 2.8-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Could be introduced in India since Toyota used to sell the TRD Sportivo trim in the pre-facelift model.
Just a few weeks after Toyota introduced the GR Sport trim to the Fortuner in Indonesia, the carmaker has given its Legender trim the GR Sport trim in Thailand. While it's called the Fortuner GR Sport in Thailand, it adds sporty bits to the already distinct top-spec Fortuner Legender that’s sold in India.

The Fortuner Legender GR Sport gets a beefier front bumper, L-shaped inserts on the rear bumper, red painted brake calipers and blacked-out 20-inch alloy wheels. All of these updates give the pickup a much sportier look than the standard model, especially in this bright red paint. You can also get it in two other colours: black and white.

Inside, it's pretty similar to the standard model, aside from sporty seats, aluminium pedals, and GR badging on the seats, the smart key, and the push button start. It also adds the Toyota Safety Sense package of driver assists that includes a pre-collision system, lane departure alert, dynamic radar cruise control, blind spot monitor, and rear cross traffic alert.

Powering the Thailand-spec Fortuner Legender GR Sport is the 204PS/500Nm 2.8-litre motor that’s also offered in the India-spec Fortuner Legender. It is limited to a 6-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drivetrain(not offered on the India-spec Fortuner Legender).

Currently, Toyota sells the facelifted Fortuner in India from Rs 30.34 lakh to 38.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Since Toyota used to sell the TRD Sportivo brand in India, we can expect the GR Sport trim to make its way to the India-spec Fortuner, although it's yet to be known whether the standard or Legender trim will get it. Meanwhile, take a closer at the standard Fortuner with the GR Sport enhancements here.
