Tata Motors showcased over 40 different products from its Medium and Heavy Vehicles range at what it calls the Advanced Trucking Expo - Truck World. However, the real highlight of the Truck World Expo was Tata's new Signa range of medium and heavy commercial vehicles. These trucks will be available across Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab soon. The Truck World Expo is up from September 15-16, 2016. It offers Tata Motors and its partners communicative and promotional opportunities about its products and solutions, all in one place. This is the first-of-its kind comprehensive purchase experience offered by a commercial vehicle maker, Tata believes.

Coming back to the Signa range, it was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Signa range promises to offer a world-class trucking experience to users. For this, the Signa range has newly-designed and configured cabins, in-built telematics system and proven Tata Motors aggregates across various configurations. The Signa range is offered in two variants - Signa 4923.S and Signa 4018.S tractors.
Talking about the trucks, the Signa 4923.S is a truck that offers 49 tonnes of Gross Combination Weight (GCW). It comes with a Cummins ISBe 5.9 common rail engine that delivers a little over 232PS of peak power and 850 Nm of peak torque. The massive motor is paired with a G1150 gearbox and RA109SRT rear axle. The truck will be offered in multiple fully-built load body options. The Signa 4018.S is the other offering that offers GCW of 40 tonnes. It is powered by a Cummins 5.9L 6-cylinder engine that is good for putting down 184 PS of power and 675Nm of torque.

Commenting on the occasion, the business head of Intermediate, Medium & Heavy Trucks at Tata Motors Rajesh Kaul said, "At Truck World, we take the opportunity to launch new products and deliver new commercial vehicle purchases to our customers. At Truck World Chandigarh, we today unveil our new Signa range of medium and heavy commercial vehicles to our customers here in Chandigarh, our latest offering from the Tata Motors commercial vehicle stable, showcasing years of experience and hard work, all aimed at increasing fleet efficiency, at the same time attracting the best commercial vehicle drivers. With the new Signa range, we hope to bring modern trucking mainstream for our medium and heavy commercial vehicles' customers, addressing emerging needs for a safer, more comfortable and a connected commercial vehicle experience."
