Leaders in location-based services and navigation, MapmyIndia has released India's first cloud-based turn-by-turn navigation app for the Apple iPhone. Developed in collaboration with Telenav, world class firm known for personalised navigation systems, the MapmyIndia Navigator by Telenav app offers voice-guided turn-by-turn GPS navigation, moving maps as well as India-based house number search and navigation for the Apple iPhone. Users can search and navigate to house numbers in 18 cities, reach any of the 579,000 towns and villages and navigate at street-level across 1,200 cities in India. Add to that, the app also boasts a detailed database consisting location information about restaurants, ATMs, petrol stations, etc. and plenty of options for quick search and navigation.

All the maps and the navigation data within the app is cloud-based meaning the app uses the internet connection on the phone to extract data over the air as and when required without clogging up the inbuilt phone memory. It also negates the requirement for the user to regularly check on the updates for the map-information, as the updates happen directly over the cloud. The MapmyIndia Navigator by Telenav app is currently available on the iPhone app store at a promotional price of Rs. 200, to use for a period of one month. The annual subscription for the app-based services is priced at Rs. 1500. There are some more interesting features like re-routing, in case of the user missed a turn the app will re-route the user again back to the scheduled route.
