In the past two months, we have seen numerous sanctions from Ford for its flagship SUV, the Endeavour. Ford has revised the price two times -- once in August and then the most recent one in October. It also ditched the entry-level variant of the Endeavour, following its sloppy sales. Nonetheless, these changes have only added to the buyer’s advantage, with the latest one being the advanced SYNC 3 infotainment system. According to Ford India’s official website, the system is now available with the top-end trim of the Endeavour and is loaded with the best features that a Ford infotainment system has to offer.
SYNC 3 is basically an advanced voice-activated system and so it enables the driver to easily operate it via voice commands, without having to look towards the screen. Furthermore, the system can automatically transfer your call to the car’s system if you walk into the car while talking on your phone, without any interruptions in the ongoing conversation.

In its third generation, SYNC can download apps of your choice into the system and update itself via your phone’s internet connection. SYNC 3 can also read text messages from apps such as Whatsapp, along with the normal text messages.
The system also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay -- with Siri Eyes-Free for easy call reception, music and maps. Moreover, temperature and climate settings are also integrated into the system, all at one place.

Speaking of lower trims, they will continue to retain the SYNC 2 infotainment system. It is also sufficiently advanced when compared to competitors’ infotainment systems, such as the current-gen Toyota Fortuner.

SYNC 3 is available in the following two variants -- the Endeavour 3.2L 4x4 Titanium and Endeavour 2.2L 4x2 Titanium.
