Facelifted 2014 Mahindra Xylo launched

A slightly updated version of the Mahindra Xylo has been launched starting at Rs 7.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai)

The updated Mahindra Xylo was launched about two and a half years ago and saw great response from the public. Recently though, Xylo sales have slumped and in order to pump in some excitement, Mahindra has now launched a slightly facelifted version of the same. Although not much has changed, the new Xylo brings a lot more to the table than it ever did before.

The new Mahindra Xylo on the exterior front comes with a set of chrome accent pieces on the bonnet and the tail gate that help give the car a slightly more premium feel. A new set of body graphics too gives the slightly aging Xylo a fresh look.

On the interior front, the new dashboard now features a different textured plastic look and feel combined with a set of new beige fabrics for the seats. The new interiors combined with the new speedometer binnacle too refresh the interior of the Mahindra Xylo. The new Xylo also features steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls along with cruise control that is now available in the top of the line model.

The Xylo, as before, comes with both BS3 and BS4 engines. The fully loaded car now features the 120PS MHawk engine that makes 280Nm of torque. Mahindra has also tuned the suspension, especially in the rear to give the Xylo better ride and handling characteristics. The Xylo is available from Rs 7.24-7.84 lakh for the BS3 version and Rs 7.37-10.5 lakh for the BS4 versions (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
