We had feared that people carriers would be forgotten in the rush towards sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in India. But while SUVs often look better, MPVs can seat more passengers, sometimes more comfortably than similarly priced utes. We’ll see more MPVs come to India in 2020, but if you want a size larger for less, check out these BS4 offers you can avail before the March 31 BS6 deadline:
Mahindra Marazzo: Up to Rs 1.66 lakh off

Even if it isn’t as spacious as a Toyota Innova Crysta, the Mahindra Marazzo looks better. It cossets you in more comfort than its price tag would have you believe. You can get one for Rs 1.34 lakh off the price tag. If you trade in your old car and add the corporate discount, the deal becomes Rs 32,000 sweeter, taking the total discount to Rs 1.66 lakh.
Renault Lodgy: Up to Rs 2 lakh off

It looks good and maximises interior space. The Lodgy even offers captain seats in the middle row and a comparatively plusher interior than the Duster. Renault will discontinue the diesel-only MPV once BS6 norms kick in. Before that, you can get a cash discount of up to Rs 2 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000 off

While the Lodgy has hardly gotten any love from India, the Ertiga is still a seller. The only discount you can get on a BS4 diesel Ertiga is an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. Maruti Suzuki is offering a Rs 10,000 discount on all cars sold through Arena, taking that number up to Rs 30,000 as long as you have a car to trade for it.
Honda BR-V: Up to Rs 1.1 lakh off

The BR-V sits in its own niche as a cross between a people carrier and an SUV. If you want car-like handling and room for up to 7 people, take one of these out for a spin. The Rs 1.1 lakh discount drives the deal home.
