Bajaj Auto has unveiled the Qute quadricycle. The Bajaj Qute will not be on sale in India due to some regulations issue and will be exported to foreign markets only. The new Bajaj Qute has been priced at $2,000 or Rs 1.32 lakh. The Qute is powered by a 216cc, water-cooled, four-valve triple Spark petrol engine. The engine employs closed loop fuel injection and will be mated to a five-speed transmission. Power rating is 13.5PS at 5,500rpm and 19.6Nm at 4,000rpm. Top speed has been limited to 70kmph. The Bajaj Qute meets Euro 3 norms and fuel efficiency us claimed at 36kpl and low CO2 emissions of 66g/km. Turning radius is 3.5m which should be beneficial while riding in city traffic. It has a load carrying capacity of 400kg and accommodates four passengers up a 27 per cent gradient.

The Bajaj Qute is the first Indian manufactured quadricycle to meet the European Quadricycle norms and get approval by the European WVTA (Whole Vehicle Type Approval) certification awarded by RDW Netherlands. The Bajaj Qute will be exported to 16 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America.
