The past week has been full of motorsport action to satiate your racing fix. In ranged from an unusual 2021 F1 Belgian Grand Prix, the MotoGP British Grand Prix at Silverstone to the Extreme E Arctic X-Prix
Here’s all the motorsports action from the week gone by:
Formula One

Torrential rain saw the 2021 Formula One Belgian Grand Prix being reduced to two laps behind the safety car, thus making it the shortest race in F1 history. With qualifying the deciding factor of the race, it was Red Bull Honda’s Max Verstappen taking top honors, with the Williams of George Russel taking his maiden podium in second place. Championship leader Lewis Hamilton rounded off the podium in third place for Mercedes.
MotoGP

Fabio Quartararo dealt another hammer blow in the championship by dominating the 2021 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Following him in second was the Suzuki of Alex Rinz, with Aleix Espargaro taking Aprilia’s maiden podium in the modern MotoGP era. In the championship, Quartararo is a full 65 points ahead of Suzuki’s Joan Mir with only seven rounds to go.
Extreme E

Andretti United finally broke Rosberg X Racing’s winning streak by taking its maiden win at the Arctic X-Prix. The pair of Catie Munnings and teammate Timmy Hansen finished ahead of the pair of Kevin Hansen and Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky in the JBXE car. The Acciona Sainz duo of Carlos Sainz Sr and Cristina Gutierrez took the final spot on the podium.
Next week, we will see Formula One head to Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix, with DTM returning to racing action at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
